Vitamin D deficiency reported in GCC countries. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), alliance of six Middle Eastern countries—Saudi Arabia (KSA), Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. The Vitamin D deficiency runs high in the multi-ethnic population of these countries with percentages as high as 86% in Qatar (66) other countries such as KSA (67), UAE (68), Oman (69), and Kuwait (70) follow closely similar alarmingly high rates of Vitamin D deficiency/Insufficiency.
