Whole blood from healthy white North American subjects was stimulated with heat-killed B. pseudomallei ΔfliC at 2.5 × 10⁶ CFU/ml for 6 hours. IL-10 and IL-6 were measured in plasma by electrochemiluminescence assay and normalized to monocyte count. Superimposed lines represent the median values. Statistical analysis was performed by linear regression on log₁₀ transformed data. *, P≤0.05.
