Wildtype, catalytically inactive (hog1D144A), and truncated (hog1A844𝞓) HOG1 alleles were expressed in Y184 ira2Δhog1Δ cells and grown in batch culture for 96 hours in YPDX 6%/3%. Rate measurements were based on average and standard deviation from three biological replicates. A. Average growth rate calculated from the exponential phase of growth. B.
