Minimum age: All HIV pregnant women, no age limit given.
Inclusion criteria: HIV positive and HIV negative pregnant women, Hb > 7 g/dl, gestational age between 16 and 28 weeks.
Exclusion criteria: Severe anaemia (Hb<7 g/dl) and HIV women already on cotrimoxazole
Interventions
  1. Intervention: co‐trimoxazole prophylaxis

  2. Control: sulfadoxine‐pyrimethamine
