Preparing muscle for digestion.

A. The razor blade is aligned parallel to the long axis of the muscle fibers.

B. Forceps are sliced along the razor blade to separate the muscle into approximately 2 mm wide pieces.

C. Steps A and B are repeated.

D. This process is continued for the entire muscle.
