Vacuolated lymphocyte. Vacuolated lymphocytes may provide a diagnostic clue in many but not all lysosomal storage disorders. Although not massive in LAL-D, the presence of vacuolated lymphocytes can provide important diagnostic hints toward an underlying lysosomal storage disorder.
