Effects of escin on inflammatory indicators in DCS swine. Blood was sampled from a venous catheter in swine treated with escin or saline before a simulated air dive and 5 min, 1, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, and 72 h following decompression. Interleukin-1β (IL-1β; (A) and interleukin-6 (IL-6; D) in serum were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
