Intraindividual variation in PC1/3 expression is reduced in some T2D donors. Graphs in A and B illustrate the fluorescence intensity for PC1/3 in islets of donor #6300 and #6249, respectively. Sections were immunostained for insulin and PC1/3 and the fluorescence calculated as indicated in methods. Note that although there is some variation in total fluorescence between islets, most islets of each donor have similar values. Bar at a.u. = 150 µm is included to facilitate the comparison.
