Cortical neurons from WT and KO E2F1 or E2F4 embryos were subjected to DNA damage (A) or hypoxia/reoxygenation (B). Alternatively, WT embryonic cortical neurons were infected with either GFP-expressing control vectors or E2F1 or E2F4-expressing vector to drive their ectopic expression, followed by DNA damage (C) or hypoxia/reoxygenation (D).
