ER stress increases accessible PM cholesterol in WT mouse hepatocytes. Primary hepatocytes were isolated from WT and StarD5^−/− mice as indicated in the Materials and Methods and incubated in 10% FBS-containing medium for 48 h. Then, the cells were incubated in the presence of 2 μM Tg or vehicle for 4 h, as indicated.
