Functional antibody response, as measured by opsonophagocytic killing activity (OPA), against group B streptococcus (GBS) strains of each of 6 serotypes after administration of GBS6 to rhesus macaques. Groups of 10 rhesus macaques were vaccinated with 5 µg of GBS6 (capsular polysaccharide/serotype), with or without AlPO4, at weeks 0, 4, and 8. OPA titers were determined at week 0 (before vaccination) and week 10 (after delivery of dose 3). Geometric mean titers and 95% confidence intervals are shown as bars. The lower limit of OPA detection was 100. The dotted line denotes a titer of 50, which was assigned to results below the limit of detection.
