Tumor cells are oncocytic and are heavily populated with mitochondria. Cell type in the primary and metastatic tumor tissue was assessed for oncocytic potential, by size, and appearance by H&E (A,C,E), as well as for the presence of mitochondria by SDHB staining (B,D,F).
