Silencing ARID1A promotes NPC cell proliferation, migration and invasion. (A) According to Western blot assay results, ARID1A was successfully knocked down by siRNA in CNE1 and HNE1 cells, which also resulted in Cyclin D1 upregulation. (B) The effects of ARID1A silencing on cell proliferation were measured by CCK8 assay. (C) Cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry at 48 hrs post-culture. (D) Relative cell distribution percentage of ARID1A-silenced (si-ARID1A) and control (si-ctrl) NPC cells in each cell cycle phase. (E and F) Motile and invasive activities of the si-ARID1A and si-ctrl groups of NPC cells based on transwell assays. The average number of cells per field was determined from three repeated independent experiments. *P<0.05, **P<0.01, *** or #P<0.001.
