Expression of different fluorescent proteins in Hfx. volcanii WR340. (A) The expression of the fluorescent protein genes was driven by the strong P_fdx promoter. The transformants were grown to OD₆₀₀ 0.6 at 42°C. The fluorescence is given in arbitrary units (AU). The autofluorescence of Hfx. volcanii was subtracted from each value. All experiments were performed in triplicates with three different biological samples.
