Fluorescence of wild type cells and transformants carrying the reading frame encoding one of the variants under control of the weak P_pD promoter. The cells were grown for 24 h to OD₆₀₀ 0.6 at 42°C. The fluorescence is given in arbitrary units (AU). Each experiment was performed in triplicates of three different biological samples.
