Activities of the six different haloarchaeal promoters. The activity was quantified at OD₆₀₀ 0.6 (42°C). The fluorescence is given in arbitrary units (AU) (see Table 2). The autofluorescence of Hfx. volcanii was subtracted from the values. Each experiment was performed in triplicates of three different biological samples. The P_pA and P_pD activities induced by cGvpE are shown on the right (OD₆₀₀ 0.6). The P_DP_A and P_AP_D constructs used for these experiments include the entire P_pA-P_pD promoter region.
