Previous or current conditions:

  • Traumatic brain injury

  • Parkinson’s disease

  • Tracheostomy

  • Head or neck surgery related to cancer treatment

  • Progressive neurological disease

  • Coronary bypass

  • Cervical spinal fusion

  • Score of <23 on Folstein Mini-Mental State Exam

  • Inability to complete Visual Analogue Scales.
