The radiculogram, observed after injecting the dye, was broadly classified into 4 types as “arm,” “arrow,” “linear,” and “splash.” ARM pattern was defined as a thick band of dye around the entire thickness of the nerve root, ARROW pattern was defined by the flow of the dye around the medial aspect of the nerve root and tracks down around the thecal sac, LINEAR pattern denoted as a single streak of dye along the lateral aspect of the nerve root, and the SPLASH pattern—an irregular distribution of the dye around the nerve root.
