Effects of glutamate and HN on hippocampal neuronal cell viability in vitro. Cultured embryonic neurons (DIV13) were subjected to a 3-min incubation with glutamate (5 μM) immediately followed by a 24-h incubation with HN (0.01–1 μM). Cell viability was assessed by MTT assay.
