Polydatin inhibits mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening post-TBI.

(A) Neurons were isolated from the injured-side cortices of rats, and the opening of mitochondrial permeability transition pore was detected by calcein-AM and CoCl2 staining with green fluorescence, and tested by flow cytometry. (B) Green fluorescence intensity of mitochondria. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD (n = 6; one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s multiple-comparisons test). *P < 0.05, vs. sham group; #P < 0.05, vs. TBI group. PD: Polydatin; TBI: traumatic brain injury; SRT1720: SIRT1 activator.
