Prevalence of individual cardiovascular risk factors in cases and controls included in the QRISK2 analysis. In accordance with the results from the whole population, the significantly higher prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors in women with endometrial cancer was due to a greater proportion of women having previously unrecognized or inadequately treated conditions. The prevalence of adequately treated risk factors was similar between the two groups. The exception to this was diabetes, which affected a similar proportion of women with and without endometrial cancer (12.9% vs. 7.8%, p = 0.068).
