Assessment of apoptosis in the kinetics experiment. Apoptosis induced by glucose-conjugated chlorin e6 (G-Ce6)-mediated photodynamic therapy was determined by an Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate fluorescence study using a live-cell analysis system. The cells were incubated with various concentrations of G-Ce6 (0, 0.064, 0.32, 1.6, or 8.0 μg/mL) for 24 h at 37 °C. After washing with fresh media, the cells were irradiated with 650-nm laser light (10 mW/cm²; 5 J/cm²). The x-axis represents time (h), and the y-axis represents the total green object integrated intensity. Apoptosis was dependent on the concentration of G-Ce6. GCU, green calibrated unit.
