Only one metabolite, glutamate, was reduced in two or more compartments and was reduced in the kidney and heart. Bottom: All of the remaining metabolites that were decreased in either the kidney, plasma or heart 4 hours after AKI are included in the bottom section, and grouped by metabolite type/pathway. In total, 4 hours after AKI, 25 metabolites were decreased in the kidney, 3 were decreased in the plasma, and 6 were decreased in the heart.
