Phylogenetic relationships based on the 18S rRNA gene sequence of Babesia species in a human babesiosis sample and in ticks, Babesia sp. KCDC-GT-270, Babesia sp. KCDC-GR-272 and Babesia sp. KCDC-1, in accordance with the polymerase chain reaction-amplified sequence. The evolutionary history was inferred via the Neighbor-Joining method. The percentage of replicate trees wherein the associated taxa clustered together in the bootstrap test (1000 replicates) are shown next to the branches. Evolutionary analyses were conducted using MEGA6 (Inline graphicBabesia positive in this study) (Inline graphicBabesia positives in ticks).
