EPA-induced Cx43 expression in combination with 5-FU exerted cytotoxic effects on B16F10 cells. (A) EPA-treated or control cells were transfected with Cx43 shRNA or control plasmids. The expression of Cx43 was determined by Western blotting in B16F10 cells. (B) Down-regulation-Cx43 expression eliminated the cytotoxic effect of 5-FU. EPA-treated or control cells were transfected with Cx43 shRNA or control plasmids. The cells were exposed to 5-FU (0-40 μM) for 24 h followed by determination of their viability by the WST-8 assay.
