Effect of metformin and HO-1 activity inhibitor VP1347 on DU145 cells apoptosis. Cells were incubated with 1 mM glucose (G1) or 25 mM glucose (G25) in the presence and absence of 10 mM metformin (MET) and 10 μM VP1347 for 12 h. Apoptosis was evaluated by cytometry, using the Muse Annexin V and Dead Cell Assay Kit.
