MCF-7, Capan-1, and FTC133 cells were stored for 90 days at 4°C after fixation with CytoRich Red solution. The cell morphology was well preserved and cell overlapping was less frequent at a density of 2 × 10⁴. In contrast, some cells overlapped at a cell density of 1 × 10⁵ cells/mL. (All cells were visualized by Papanicolaou staining, 200 × magnification).
