All experiments were: methyl 2-aminothiazole-5-carboxylate (1.0 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (10 mL), iso-pentyl nitrite (1.2 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (10 mL), both flowing at 0.25 mL min−1 through a 10.0 mL coil reactor at the stated temperature, (residence time: 20 min). The conversions were calculated by integration of product 1H-NMR peaks relative to a quantified internal standard of nitrobenzene. The reported value is the average of at least three repeat runs.
