All experiments were: methyl 2-aminothiazole-5-carboxylate (1.0 mmol) in THF (10 mL), iso-pentyl nitrite (1.2 mmol) in THF (10 mL), both flowing at 0.25 mL min−1 through the stated coil reactor (1 mm i.d.) at the stated temperature. The conversions were calculated by integration of product 1H-NMR peaks relative to a quantified internal standard of nitrobenzene.
