Longitudinal sections from sequential segments along an adult rat sciatic nerve were immunostained with anti-pY490 and visualized with avidin–biotin–HRP and DAB. The diagram illustrates the approximate location of segments along the nerve. Representative pictures from each segment are shown. Immunostaining is evident in a subset of the axons in each segment.
