Sister cultures were exposed to sublethal oxygen–glucose deprivation (20–30 min), allowed to recover for 24 hr, and extracted for RNA. RT-PCR products were quantitated using a phosphorimager, and the relative abundance of each transcript was expressed as percentage of total for each culture (mean ± SEM; n = 12 measurements; p was calculated using two-tailed Student’st test).
