Agarose gel electrophoretic analysis of genomic DNA from traumatized (A, C), contralateral (B, D), and sham-operated rat cortex (A, B) and hippocampus (C, D). Total DNA was isolated at indicated times after TBI. One microgram of DNA from each sample was labeled with [α³²P] dATP, using Taq DNA polymerase, and analyzed in 1.5% agarose gel. Dried gel was exposed with x-ray film and photographed. Data are representative of three separate experiments with similar results.
