Beads coated with rhGGF2 promote Schwann cell chemotaxis. Heparin-Sepharose beads were coated with rhGGF2 to varying degrees of saturation (see Table 1) and were incubated with pure Schwann cell cultures for 15 hr. Cultures were stained for BrdU incorporation in parallel with those in Figures 3 and 4, and little staining was observed.
