Summary of response magnitudes of epithelium-evoked excitation of mitral cells evoked by peri- and suprathreshold intensity shocks before and after LC activation. LC activation of LC substantially increased (p < 0.01) the response to perithreshold-evoked excitation and produced a small but nonsignificant decrease (p > 0.08) in the response to suprathreshold intensity shocks.
