Period 1 (Per1) target gene expression is altered by casein kinase 1δ/ε (CK1δ/ε) inhibitor (CKinh) treatment in vivo in the renal cortex. After 72 h of treatment with vehicle or CKinh PF670462, kidney tissue was harvested and processed for RNA and quantitative PCR to evaluate changes in mRNA expression for the α-subunit of the epithelial Na⁺ channel (αENaC; A), Fxyd5 (B), endothelin-1 (ET-1; C), caveolin-1 (Cav1; D), and Cryptochrome 2 (Cry2; E).
