Effect of dNAK 4 on the in vitro polymerization of EcFtsZ and BsFtsZ. (A,B) show the GTP polymerization kinetics of EcFtsZ and BsFtsZ, respectively, at different concentrations of dNAK 4. (C,D) show the polymerization kinetics induced by GDP of EcFtsZ and BsFtsZ, respectively, in presence and absence of 32 μM dNAK 4. The protein concentration was 12.5 μM in a buffer containing 50 mM Hepes pH 7.3, 50 mM KCl, 10 mM MgCl2, and 1 mM GTP with PK/PEP regeneration system (A,B) or with 2 mM GDP (C,D).
