Cerulein acute pancreatitis was induced in rats as indicated in Figure 3A. (A) Pancreatic levels of CHOP, a transcription factor that regulates ER stress associated cell death, and the apoptotic markers PARP and caspase 3 were assessed by Western blotting. Levels of ERK1/2 were measured as loading control. Each lane shows data from an individual rat, 2 rats per group. (B) Graphs shows Chop mRNA levels in pancreas tissues as determined by qPCR. Data is representative of 3–4 rats/group. Data in graphs are mean ± SD.
