These images were taken from the BrainLab iPlan workstation, hence the left side corresponds to the left hemisphere. The integration of MRI and DTI gives us a pre-operative idea on how to plan the route of access, but the brain mapping (red and green areas on the cortical surface) enables us to avoid eloquent areas (language in these cases): note the large individual variability. The arrows show the access used in each case.
