A: Using Ellman's reagent, the content of proteins adsorbed to the different surfaces was determined (PS: standard cell culture treated polystyrene; ALG: alginate scaffold; NHS: N‐hydroxysuccinimide‐modified ALG). Protein adsorption was found to be enhanced with increasing tyramine conjugation. Differences of groups compared to PS were considered significant by p < 0.01 (**) and p < 0.001 (***). B: Immunofluorescence staining against laminin revealed a stable protein adsorption for at least 14 days.
