Parameters were assessed before, during, and after AD feeding (days 0–20) in control (n = 10), AD-2K (n = 10), and AD-1K (n = 16) rats; values of days –8 and –6 were used as baseline. AD, adenine at 0.75% in the diet; AD-1K rats, rats with unilateral nephrectomy, adenine at 0.75% in the diet; AD-2K rats, sham-operated rats, adenine at 0.75% in the diet; GFR, glomerular filtration rate.
