Aβ-induced toxicity in cultured SH-SY5Y cells. Cells were treated with 0, 1, 3, or 5 μM Aβ1-40 for 24 h or treated with 5 μM Aβ for 0, 6, 12, 24, or 48 h. Cell viability was measured using the MTT assay. The integrity of the plasma membrane was assessed by LDH release.
