A mistake was discovered in the MATLAB code that generated the results in this paper. The ROI for the right S1FL region had been replaced with the whole-brain ROI without the authors being aware of this replacement. Instead of what was described in the original paper, the BOLD SWC here was not bilateral S1FL, as in our prior work (Thompson et al. 2013), but rather sliding window correlation between the left S1FL region and the entire brain slice. This mistake does not impact the electrophysiology-derived results, which were as described in the original paper.
The results of this correction are identical to what was published, but the following changes need to be made to the method descriptions:
Page 115, right column, paragraph 6 (last paragraph):
“regions of interest (ROIs) were manually drawn in the left and right S1FL of the BOLD image using a rat brain atlas”
Should read
“regions of interest (ROIs) were manually drawn in the left S1FL and around the whole-brain outline of the BOLD image using a rat brain atlas”
Page 116, left column, paragraph 2:
“The mean signal over time across all voxels was calculated in both the left and right S1FL ROIs. A 50-s window was advanced across these mean signals, beginning at from 0 s to 50 s and ending at 450 s to 500 s, moving one sample at a time, and at each window returning the correlation coefficient between the left and right S1FL ROI mean BOLD signals as the SWC signal at that time point.”
Should read

The results and conclusions of this study stand.
