Colony morphology of wild-type OH23 and the rpf mutants on NYG plates with or without the exogenous addition of LbDSF. Each strain was grown in NYG liquid medium until the OD₆₀₀ was approximately 1.0. Then, 3 μl of each strain was inoculated onto the surface of NYG plates. The plates were incubated at 28°C for 4 days. For the LbDSF treatment group, the strains were grown in NYG liquid medium containing 2 μM LbDSF, and the NYG plates contained 5 μM LbDSF. Each treatment was completed in triplicate, and the experiment was repeated three times.
