SD represents standard deviation. Values were mean ± SD (n = 4). CC2 and Z958 represent the transgenic maize CC-2 and its recipient cultivar Z958. T and F represent the tasseling and flowering stages. SS, Rh, and Rt represent the surrounding soil samples, rhizospheric soil samples and root samples, respectively. C content and N content represent carbon content and nitrogen content. The significance test was performed using one-way ANOVA. The values in asterisk indicate the significant difference (P < 0.05) between the CC2 and Z958 groups by the tests.
