The parametric component library significantly reduces the effort required to draw different microfluidic geometries. Graph A compares the effort taken to design microfluidic geometries using CAD design tools vs. the effort required to design using 3DμF. Graphs B and C show how the effort required to design the procedurally generated geometries scales with the number of outputs when created using CAD tools and how the effort required is nearly negligible when designing using 3DμF.
