Blood concentrations (mean ± SD) of lactate and pyruvate/lactate (P/L) ratio before and then 5, 15, and 30 min after sublethal CN intoxication in anesthetized rats (KCN infusion 0.75 mg/kg/min for 4 min). Half of the animals received saline (black bars), whereas the other half received MB (open blue bars) 5 min into recovery.
