Panels A–C show changes in physiological scores between baseline and 1 h after starting fluid infusion. Panels D–F show changes in biochemical measures from baseline to 24 h. Panels G and H show change in haemoglobin concentration from baseline to 8 h in non-transfused (G) and transfused (H) participants. Negative values indicate decrease from the baseline, and positive values indicate increase from baseline. Values above the bars show relative risk (95% CI) for comparison of proportions between bolus and no bolus groups.
