Channel size to differentiate rotating and revolving mechanism. Rotating motors have channel sizes all ≤2.0 nm in diameter to ensure full contact between DNA and channel wall similar to the nut driving the bolt, while revolving motors have channel sizes ≥3 nm to have room to accommodate the revolving motion.
