Therapeutic effects of porous and conventional acupuncture needles in the CFA-induced inflammatory pain model. The paw withdrawal frequency of each mouse was measured 24 h after acupuncture treatments. The PN group showed a greater therapeutic effect than the CN group (^∗P < 0.05, ^∗∗P < 0.01, ^∗∗∗P < 0.001, compared to the CFA group; ^#P < 0.05, CN vs. PN; two-way repeated measures ANOVA followed by the Bonferroni test; each n = 7–8).
