Stop-signal task with ac trials. Participants were instructed to press a button corresponding to the pointing direction of an arrow (go trials, 50%). In stop trials (25%), the arrow changed its color from white to blue after a variable stop-signal delay indicating that the participants should cancel the response. In ac trials (25%), the arrow changed its color from white to green after a variable ac signal delay. Participants were instructed to continue their response in ac trials. The attribution of color (green/blue) to trial type (stop/ac) was counterbalanced across participants.
